It’s no surprise that disaster recovery (DR) plans are an important part of a company’s survival. According to a recent survey conducted by THINKstrategies & ViaWest, over 70% of businesses indicated that they had a DR plan in place. Not surprisingly, the reason for this large adoption rate has to do with the cost of a disaster disrupting business. Of those surveyed, 25% believe that having no DR plan in place during an incident could cost them more than $1 million and 14% believe the cost to be between $500,000 and $1 million.
